A saucy Latino blend of cinnamon, cumin, cayenne, sarsaparilla and cacao, El Mexicano, Por Favor is a spicy and flavorful concoction, rich in detoxifying herbs known for encouraging a faster metabolism and increasing blood circulation. Oye amigo, ten cuidado!

Taste: Chocolaty, spicy, mildly earthy and sweet

Energy:- =V,+P,-K, warming, stimulant and tonic

Brewing Tips:- A hearty brew, loves a long steep (give it at least a good 5 minutes!), and re-infuses well for another cup or two.

Muddy Maté

A delicious way to get your mate dirty, this dark and chocolaty brew of organic roasted yerba mate, raw cacao, licorice root, cornflowers and vanilla bean.- Notably stimulant but quite low in caffeine, the Muddy Mate is a perfect substitute for that afternoon Joe.

Taste:- Sweet, chocolaty and mildly earthy

Energy: =VPK, balanced, stimulant, grounding and mildly astringent

Brewing Tips: Bring 8-10 ounces of water to a boil on your stovetop, pour over tea, cover to steep 3-5 minutes. Sweeten to taste.

Your Style Chai

Homegrown signature Chai spice blend of cinnamon, clove, fennel, ginger, black peppercorn, cardamom, vanilla bean and peppermint blended with the tea base of your choice. This is a real favorite at the tea shop, based on an authentic Indian chai recipe that makes a rich and classic cup. Be sure to indicate your choice of black, green, white tea, rooibos or yerba mate in the customers comment block when checking out (default for no selection will be Darjeeling black tea!).

Taste:- Sweet, mildly pungent and spicy

Energy:- =VPK, warming, stimulant and carminative

Brewing Tips: Put 1 Tbsp. tea blend, 8 ounces water and a splash of dairy* or dairy alternative into a saucepan and heat over medium heat to reach a gentle simmer for about one minute. Pour into cup and sweeten to taste.

*I use half and half at the tea shop, whole cream is even more yummy and decadent! If using regular milk, use a greater ratio of dairy to water.

The Wake Up Call

A very perky alternative to coffee, this awakening infusion of organic yerba mate, cinnamon, clove, anise, ginseng and peppermint has lots of stimulant action, but actually half the caffeine of your average Joe.

Taste: Sweet,spicy and astringent with rich aromatic complexity.

Energy: Balanced, stimulant, and diuretic. +V, =P, -K

Brewing Tips: Steep covered 3-5 minutes and continue to add hot water to refresh and extract volatile oils.
