This clean and uplifting medley of organic Pai Mudan White tea, rosehips, peppermint, ginger, hibiscus orange peel and ginseng is a favorite pick me up for its invigorating and tonic qualities with very little caffeine.

Taste: Bitter, mildly fruity, spicy and pungent

Energy: =VPK, balanced, stimulant, tonic and diuretic

Brewing Tips: Pour boiling water over tea and steep covered 3-5 minutes. Sweeten to taste.

The Dark and Sultry

A dark and seductive concoction of organic, smokey Labsang Souchong China black tea, Vietnamese cinnamon and licorice root that will make you swear Isaac Hayes had something to do with it.

Taste:- Sweet, smokey, mildly pungent and astringent

Energy: =VPK, warming, stimulant, diuretic and carminative

Brewing Tips: Pour boiling water over tea and steep covered 3-5 minutes. Sweeten to taste.

The Blarney Black

Irish Breakfast black tea, cinnamon, clove, orange peel and a pinch of nutmeg was originally the recreation of a classic Bigalow Tea company blend loved by a friend who was disappointed not to see it on the menu.

Taste: Pungent, spicy and mildly astringent

Hearty black English Breakfast tea with ginger and star anise. He hankered for a little cream and honey, and I must say discovered a fabulous morning or after dinner cup.

China Congu Rose

A Homegrown imitation of a famous Russian tea blend, China Congu Rose combines organic Assam and Ceylon black teas with rose petals. The subtle floral undertones in this infusion balance these robust black teas, softening their astringency, and are what make this blend a classic.

Brewing Tips: Pour boiling water over tea and steep covered 3-5 minutes. Sweeten to taste. This blend is lovely with cream or dairy alternative, and one of my favorite morning infusions.

Brewing Tips: Let boiling water cool slightly, then pour gently over leaves. Steep 2 to 3 minutes covered before removing or straining tea leaves.

The Good and Plenty

This blend of licorice root, slippery elm, marsh mallow root, roses, anise, star anise and fennel, was inspired by my favorite candy, but combines herbs that are a delicious and effective therapy for cough and sore throat. The emphasis on demulcent herbs that contain high levels of natural mucilage, helps to coat and soothe the tissues of the throat and lungs and aid in expectoration. Anise has long been revered as an important herbal remedy for cough, and delicious to those of us who love the flavor of black licorice candy.

Taste: Sweet, pungent

Energy: Cooling, expectorant, anti-inflammatory. =VPK

Brewing Tips:- Sweeten this brew with a touch of molasses for that classic Good and Plenty flavor.
